WORKFLOW, NOT ADVICE
Workflow support, not tax advice
TaxRiskOS helps practitioners organize IRS notices into intake facts, deadlines, document checklists, escalation flags, and handoff packets. The professional remains responsible for judgment, advice, and response strategy.
What TaxRiskOS does
- Captures notice facts
- Tracks user-confirmed deadlines
- Organizes document requests
- Flags workflow escalation signals
- Produces a practitioner-controlled handoff packet
- Maintains an audit trail
What TaxRiskOS does not do
- Does not provide legal advice
- Does not provide tax advice
- Does not draft IRS/state responses
- Does not represent taxpayers
- Does not determine legal/tax conclusions
- Does not replace CPA/EA/attorney judgment
- Does not use AI as a production decision-maker in V1
Human review by design
- The user confirms the notice type, date, and deadline.
- The user reviews the document checklist.
- The user controls the handoff.
- The legal analysis and conclusion stay with the licensed professional — the software never writes them.
- The handoff packet is built for practitioner review, not to stand on its own.
Rule-based and repeatable (V1)
- A repeatable workflow — the same notice yields the same structure.
- No generative model in the critical decision path.
- AI may be used internally for build and test, not to produce final practitioner-facing determinations.
- A no-advice boundary check is applied to every output.
An audit trail you can stand behind
- Every step is time-stamped — what was captured, and when.
- That gives you a defensible record that the right work happened on time.
- It documents process, not advice.
Synthetic demo data
- The public demo uses synthetic examples only.
- No real client data is in the public demo.
- Pilots require a separate data-handling review before any real matters.
Questions practitioners ask
Is this legal advice?
No. TaxRiskOS is workflow software. It does not provide legal advice and does not determine legal conclusions.
Is this tax advice?
No. It organizes notice facts and workflow. It does not provide tax advice or tell you what position to take.
Does this draft IRS responses?
No. It does not draft IRS or state responses. The handoff packet assembles the facts; the legal analysis and conclusion stay with the licensed professional. The engine's attorney handoff memo is a structured fact transfer that states no legal conclusion.
Does this replace my judgment?
No. The practitioner confirms every input and controls the handoff. The product augments your workflow; it does not replace you.
Does this use AI?
V1 does not keep AI in the production decision loop. AI may be used internally to build and test the software, but not to produce practitioner-facing determinations.
Can this be used with my existing tools?
It is designed to organize the first-hour notice workflow and hand off a packet you can carry into the tools you already use.
Can I export a handoff packet?
The demo produces a structured packet you can review and hand off. Export formats are part of the near-term roadmap.
What happens if the notice is serious?
Escalation flags are rule-based workflow signals — the same notice always yields the same flags — that help route a matter for senior or counsel review. They are routing labels, not legal or tax conclusions.
